Contact Lens Exams & Specialty Lens Fittings in Alpharetta, GA

At 20/20 Eye Care, we help patients find contact lenses that fit comfortably, support their vision needs, and suit their lifestyle. Dr. Samia Idris performs every contact lens exam herself. Whether you’re trying lenses for the first time, upgrading your prescription, or managing a condition like keratoconus.

Contact Lens Exams Include More Than a Vision Test

Fitting contact lenses safely and comfortably requires more than a standard glasses prescription. Dr. Idris evaluates your corneal shape, tear quality, lens tolerance, and prescription needs to ensure your lenses stay stable and comfortable. These extra steps help prevent irritation, blurred vision, and other issues that can come from a poor fit.

Soft Contact Lenses for Daily, Monthly, & Extended Wear

We fit a full range of soft lenses, including:

  • Daily disposables for low-maintenance, all-day comfort
  • Monthly or biweekly lenses for reliable, long-term use
  • Toric lenses for patients with astigmatism
  • Multifocal lenses for patients who need help seeing near and far

If you’re new to contacts, we’ll guide you through insertion, removal, and care. We also help teens and students find lenses that fit their schedules, screen habits, and sports routines.

Specialty Soft Lenses for Patients With Keratoconus

Patients with keratoconus or irregular corneas may benefit from specialty soft lenses. We fit:

  • Keratocon soft keratoconus lenses
  • Kerado soft keratoconus lenses
  • Piggyback combinations: a soft lens under a gas-permeable lens for added comfort and stability

These lenses provide improved clarity for patients who no longer get sharp vision from glasses alone. If scleral or hybrid lenses are required, we coordinate referrals to trusted local specialists and continue to support your care.

Lenses Chosen for How You See & How You Live

Some patients wear lenses daily. Others use them for sports, weekends, or work. We help you find a lens that fits your routine and your eyes, not just your prescription. We also review how your vision needs may change over time and keep your lens plan updated.
